Di Huang received his BSc degree in 2007 and PhD degree in 2012 in Biomedical Engineering from Sichuan University, China. Now he is an Associate Professor at Institute of Applied Mechanics & Biomedical Engineering, College of Mechanics in Taiyuan University of Technology, China, the Department Head of Biomedical Engineering, and the Director of Research Center for Nano-biomaterials & Regenerative Medicine. He has hosted 1 projects as PI funded by National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), 3 projects as PI from government or university, and participated as co-PI in 4 other projects from NSFC. He has published 60+ articles in scientific journals, 5 authorized patents, and several conference publications. His research is focused on biomaterials and tissue engineering. He joined the Zhang Laboratory in March 2018 as a visiting scientist. His research here is mainly focused on 3D bioprinting for tissue modeling and organ on a chip.
