Erandy Correa is a Biotechnology Engineering student at ITESM in Monterrey, Mexico. In 2017, she was involved in the purification, recovery, and characterization of Laccase from the residual compost of edible mushroom Pleurotus djamor and in the Cytotoxic evaluation of Cicer arietium extract fortified with Selenium in cancer cell lines (CaCo-2 and MCF-7). Also, she was an assistant researcher in the CONACYT's project characterizing the pharmacokinetics effect of bleomycin on the pharmacokinetics of brentuximab. She joined Zhang Laboratory in July 2018 as a visiting undergraduate student. Her current interests are tissue engineering and bioprocesses in the food and medical industry. In her free time, she likes to go hiking, running and read thriller books.
